ScreenGuard, an open-source digital wellbeing tool, has hit 50+ downloads, marking a significant milestone in its development. The software, which focuses on managing screen time and productivity, is now in a prerelease stage with features like Pomodoro settings and daemon control.

Developers and users are divided on whether ScreenGuard is ready for release. Aditya_K9999, the project's lead, argues that the software is polished and stable, with improvements in first-time setup and user controls. However, others suggest it's still in early development and needs more testing. The debate highlights the tension between those who see the project as a finished product and those who view it as a work in progress.

The community consensus leans toward acknowledging the milestone of 50+ downloads as a sign of growing interest, but the software's readiness for broader use remains a point of contention. Aditya_K9999 emphasizes the value of user feedback and open-source collaboration, while others call for more transparency and testing before wider adoption.
